Every year, Korea’s beauty and wellness industry gathers in a few large halls, and every year we go. The point is not to see everything. It is to find the handful of makers who do not need a loud stand.
We spent most of the week walking the back rows, where the smaller exhibitors are: a ginseng producer with four products and a hand-written price list, a ceramics studio making pet bowls, a cosmetic chemist who would only show us the formula after we asked about the packaging.
We came back with a short list and a long set of sample bags. Some of it will not make the cut. A few pieces are already being considered for Volume 02.
